It seems that the more we learn about social media, the less we truly know about how the big companies (Facebook, in particular) are using our data. Join us for a practical discussion to learn what we most need to know in 2018 in order to be savvy social media users.

Pam Holland, founder and President of TechMoxie, will review tips to keep your data more private, how to recognize and report fraudulent friend requests, and how Facebook uses algorithms to dictate what we see (and don't see) on our news feeds.

We will also discuss how Twitter is being used in the current political environment and to spur social change.  This talk is intended to be informative whether or not you are a social media user.
