Although most people think of LinkedIn as a tool exclusively for jobseekers, it is also a great way for seniors to network around professional, avocational, or recreational interests and stay intellectually stimulated and engaged without ever having to leave home. It is especially useful for introverts of all ages.

As retired but active adults with the benefit of time to look back on full careers, LinkedIn allows seniors to connect with other professionals and share experiences, knowledge, insights, and wisdom with over 500 million users worldwide.

It is also a great way to combat the isolation and intellectual stagnation that sometimes accompanies retirement by engaging in online conversations with others that share professional interests since most LinkedIn groups are based entirely on interest.
