Join us at Silver Spring Stage, 10145 Colesville Road, on Sunday May 19 for a new and different theater experience, Speak the Speech!! It is a Shakespeare marathon that goes on all day from 12:00 to 4:00. We are proposing that Village members and guests attend from 11:45 to 2:00, longer if they like. Refreshments will be available and you can wander as the readings are going on if you get restless. Each hour of the marathon will feature scenes from one Shakespeare play – including Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream – and slots for up to 10 players to take the stage, one of which will be our own Jeanne Adams. Admission is $5.00 paid on-site, free for kids under 12. And you may, fingers crossed, see someone on stage that you recognize!
