Join us for Silver Spring's Own Bluesman Jonny Grave Live Under the Tulip Poplar at the Koiner Farm, 737 Easely St. This is a very special SPARKLE event you will not want to miss. This is the first event for Silver Spring Blues Week taking place Wednesday, June 8th 2pm-4pm at various locations throughout Downtown Silver Spring.

Jonny Grave performed in the very first Silver Spring Blues Festival and now returns with our first event for Blues Week. Jonny will be joined by SSTCi past president and co-founder of the Silver Spring Blues Festival Alan Bowser who will provide a brief overview of the Festival's 13 year history.

Jonny Grave is a guitarist, songwriter, singer, bandleader, teacher, musical historian, and photojournalist from Washington, D.C. Growing up in a musical family, Jonny Grave was introduced to the sounds of American traditional folk music early on. At age fifteen, he found himself learning slide guitar techniques from old Blues records, and by seventeen he was performing them live. Grave has performed at hundreds of venues all over the world from the red dirt floor of Gip's Juke Joint, to the red carpet of the Kennedy Center.

RSVPs recommended.
