September's choice, Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson, is a 2014 novel, told in verse, which discusses the author's childhood as an African American growing up in the 1960s and '70s in South Carolina and New York.

The book will be available on the library's reserve shelf in advance of the meeting. RSVPs are not required -- all are welcome.
